| Objective: To study the reconstruction and remodeling of juvenile volleyball players’metacarpal bone, using quantitative CT analysis of chancellors’ bone, cortical bonecomposition and chancellors’ bone, the percentage of cortical bone’s reconstruction andstructural characteristics. To investigate the morphological characterization of metacarpalbone shaped and reconstruction under the volleyball stress stimulation to provide technicalguidance for volleyball training and selection. Methods: To engage in8professional training youth athletes for at least5years,8people(the volleyball group), normal8people (control group),two groups were male, right-handed,average age18years old, and the average height of180cm. Subjects using multisided spiralCT scan palm, for two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstruction of the metacarpal, metacarpal bone measurements chancellors’ bone (spongy bone), cortical bone (cortical bone)volume, trabecular bone volume, cortical bone volume percentage of other indicators. On theworkstation on metacarpal three-dimensional images were manually after cutting, accordingto different density will organize the coloring, to showing the metacarpal bone (coronal)differences in three-dimensional structure distribution were compared and statistical analysisof each metacarpal parameter values.Results:(1) the volleyball group left and right second, third metacarpal bonechancellors’ bone volume were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05), the other oftwo groups had no significant difference (P>0.05);(2) the volleyball group right secondmetacarpal trabecular bone volume larger than that of the control group (P <0.05), thevolleyball group the left hand of the third metacarpal bone trabecular bone volume larger thanthat of the control group (P <0.05), the other two groups of metacarpal has no significant difference (P>0.05);(3) the metacarpal cortical bone volume compared with the controlgroup the volleyball group left and right hand, no significant difference (P>0.05);(4) thevolleyball group’s right second metacarpal percentage of cortical less than that of the controlgroup (P <0.05), the volleyball group left the third metacarpal percentage of cortical less thanthat of the control group (P <0.05), the other two metacarpal group compared with nosignificant difference (P>0.05);(5) the volleyball group left, right metacarpal chancellors’bone volume, cortical bone volume, trabecular bone volume fraction, cortical bone volumepercentage compared with no significant difference (P>0.05);(6) the spatial distribution mapof metacarpal bone structure analysis, found the metacarpal increased chancellors’ bone in themetacarpal bone The head of metacarpal bone, metacarpal body also increased slightly, butnot significantly increase. Conclusion: Volleyball reasonable stress stimulation can make young athletes’metacarpal bone composition and structure changes, quantitative CT morphological features:the increase of the content of metacarpal cancellous bone, and the percentage of cancellousbone; the reduction of percentage of cortical. The volleyball players’ left and right metacarpalbone composition and structure similar to change. |
