Teachers are the professionals who undertake teaching, training builders and successors for thesocialist cause, enhancing the quality of the nation. Under the background of new curriculumreform, teachers’ professional development naturally becomes a hot issue of social broadattention. The new curriculum reform highlights the urgency of the teacher professionaldevelopment, which also provides a good opportunity and platform for teachers’ professionaldevelopment. A high-quality teachers team has the security of the improvement of quality of thewhole nation.In this paper, the author deeply analyzes interpretation and puts forward the concrete strategyof the teachers’ professional development in the new curriculum standard, on the basis ofconsulting a large number of data. At the same time, the author analyses how individual factorsand environmental factors influence the teachers’ professional development, using literaturemethod, investigation method and interview method. The author mainly carries out the researchfrom the following aspects.Part1Introduction.This part briefly describes the research background of this topic. In the new curriculum reform,society puts forward higher demand on teachers’ professional development. The author makes itclear the significance of teachers’ professional development mainly from theoretical and practicalsignificance. Comparing the differences between two related concepts of professional and career,this paper defines the concept of teachers’ professional development by the methods of literaturestudy, interview, investigation and study.Part2New requirements to the teachers’ professional development.The author expounds new requirements and challenges for the teachers’ professionaldevelopment under the new curriculum reform, based on further interpretation of the basiceducation course reform outline(try out),mainly from the change of curriculum goal, curriculumcontent as well as learning style.Part3The factors influencing teachers’ professional developmentThrough consulting relevant data and contacting the in-service physics teachers, the author analyzes the present situation of physics teachers’ professional development and the factorsinfluencing teachers’ professional development mainly from the individual factors andenvironmental factors. Among them, the personal factors include the following aspects. First,teachers lack the consciousness of professional development, so their professional autonomy islimited. Second, teachers are faced with too much press, which may cause occupational wearyrelated psychological problems. Environmental factors include the seal of the teacher culture, theinfluence of social utilitarian values and too single evaluation index.Part4The ways to promote teacher professional developmentIn order to gain personal development, teachers should strengthen their consciousness of theirown professional development consciousness and strengthen the professional self-confidence.What’s more, teachers should update education concept and improve the professional ethicscultivation. Meanwhile, teachers are supposed to consciously make acquisition developmentplanning and carry on the consciousness of self reflection. External support strategy includesconstructing the cooperative teacher culture organizations, implementing democraticmanagement, implementation of developmental evaluation system, and good atmosphere thatsociety provides.
