Rowing is a typical physical class projects that require the athlete with good strength, endurance and other special physical. In the increasingly competitive international athletics sports competitions, to obtain excellent performance in competitions, athletes not only have superb athletic ability, but also need special physical ability to excel. Therefore, the physical training of rowing athletes caused a high degree of attention, and training features is an important stage of the annual training of rowers, a critical period of physical reserves. Rowing lightweight athletes body shape, function, quality characteristics, to explore the rowers physical training methods to improve rowing results, this paper, Hubei Province, rowing lightweight men’s10sports teams, women’s6sports teams human object of study, with research methods of literature, expert interviews, experimental method, mathematical statistics, and so on, development and implementation of rowing during the Winter of physical training program, its physical training in the winter training period. The research findings show.1. Measurement and analysis of the winter training of the body shape of rowing lightweight athletes in Hubei Province, and found the body shape of athletes in line with the requirements of the rowers form, but in terms of height, upper and lower extremity length, percentage of body fat, shoulder width, etc. domestic elite athletes compared to some deficiencies.2. Athletes in winter training process, reflecting the human body function indicators of heart rate, blood pressure, hemoglobin, blood urea, creatine phoshokinase and blood lactate in the normal range of fluctuations. Lower in heart rate, blood pressure values, indicating that athletes have a good heartvascular function; hemoglobin, blood urea value stability, and the bodily functions to adapt the movement; slightly higher creatine phoshokinase, prompt movement of attention to physical function recovery.3. Athletes in the physical aspects, including ergometer2000m and3000m running, bench pull, squat, etc. compared with the Elite Rowers aspects there is a certain gap between the low level of overall quality, and the gap between male athletes than female athletes.4. Through the winter training of special physical training, especially to focus on training strength、 strength endurance and aerobic endurance, as well as rowing techniques of athletes, rowing lightweight athletes fitness level and rowing techniques have a more substantial improvement, and in winter training before and after testing athletic performance also reflects the effect of the winter training special physical training. Drawn from case studies, physical training through the winter period, the athletes fitness level has greatly improved, function, strength, quality, level of aerobic endurance has improved significantly, and ultimately improve race performance purpose.5. The use of the winter training heart rate, blood lactate on exercise load real-time monitoring, control and adjust the training load of athletes, has very important significance to improve the training effect.6. Compared with elite athletes, Hubei Province, lightweight athlete’s strength, strength endurance, quality and boating technology level, there is a gap, it is recommended to strengthen the athlete’s special physical training and special technical training to enhance the athletes’fitness level, thereby enhancing competition results.
