| Socialist core values is the understanding and evaluation criteria which formed in the socialist constructing process and which leads the dominance. The construction of the socialist core values system as the important topic and historical mission was first explicitly put forward on the Party’s Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth.It was emphasized in the Party’s Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth that socialist core values system should lead social thought,and strengthen the socialist core values system constructing on the development of cultural on the overall. The party’s eighteenth session report:"promote a prosperous, democratic, civilized, harmonious, advocating freedom, equality, justice, the rule of law, promote patriotism, dedication, integrity, kindness, and actively cultivate socialist core values." College students are the future hope of the motherland and the nation, whose values shaped not only directly determine their own development but also the future of the party and state fate. There are some problems in nurturing college students the core values of socialism,on which we need to pay attention, and to take active measures to gradually resolve,in order to be truly effective realization of socialist core values of the individual internalization and implementation. Leading college students to establish a correct life values has always been the focus of university education. Since reform and opening, with the rapid development of society and market transformation through, the values of college students has change a lot, and showed different characteristics. This article concise discussion of cultivating socialist core values and studied cultivating socialist core values and related issues of contemporary college students,in this context.This article studied college students socialist core values that starts from the meanning of the socialist core values system and the meanning of nurturing the socialist core values,in which studied the status quo of the values of college students,the problems that produced in nurturing and the the reasons of the problems.
