On the basisof the above study this paper regards Class5and Class6of Grade2as the research object. Itmainly uses the experimental method and questionnaire investigation method to havecognitive strategy training of Class5for a semester in the day-to-day classroom teaching.First, it has to know the use of students’ cognitive strategy by investigating and confirm thetraining content of cognitive strategies on the basis of it. Then it introduces concretely thedesign and implementation of cognitive strategies training. Through experimental research, the paper draws the following conclusions:(1) After training in cognitive strategies, theawareness of strategies’ use in real practice class has more remarkable improvement than thatin comparative classes.(2) Within the experimental class, excellent students are better at usingcognitive strategies than student with learning difficulties in English learning. But poorstudent groups have been affected more by strategy training.(3) To a certain degree, cognitivestrategies training improve the academic performance of students in English. It is thus clearthat teachers should cultivate the awareness of students ’cognitive strategies use, teachersshould pay more attention to students with learning difficulties. This study aims to improve students’ ability of applying cognitive strategies, enabling them to be autonomous learners. |
