Teachers’ teaching efficacy refers to teachers’ judgement on their ability to reach the teaching goal. It is an important internal component of teachers’ professional development. Teachers’ teaching efficacy directly affects teachers’ educational teaching behaviors, personal professional development, and even the students’ learning and development. With the deepening of new curriculum reform in our country, teachers are trying to practice the new curriculum ideas and changing their teaching behaviors. And these changes have direct relationship with teachers’ teaching efficacy. Therefore, to conduct a study on teachers’ teaching efficacy has a certain meaning and value.This study is based on the summary of relevant research results, with the reference to high school English new curriculum standard requirements, and it is according to the actual teaching situation of high school English teachers. The author makes a survey on teachers’ teaching efficacy levels and its influencing factors of high school English teachers from Jin Zhou by using the questionnaire method and interview method. It is found that high school English teachers’ teaching efficacy is lower down the middle level; School age is one of the main variables, gender, education background and school type have no significant effects on high school English teachers’ teaching efficacy. According to the survey, there are mainly four problems, namely teachers’ lack of self-knowledge, and have a lack of self-confidence; A transformation of teachers’ teaching way is taking place, but teachers’ self-learning consciousness remains to be enhanced; teachers ignore the communication with parents, and have a lower teachers’ teaching efficacy in communicating with others; teachers’ are trying to teach according to the new curriculum ideas, but it is lack of corresponding teachers’ training system. To change the present situation of high school English teachers’ teaching efficacy, the author suggests that teachers should constantly enhance self-confidence and form the correct self-motivation; Teacher should manage time for self-study and improve self-learning ability; Teachers should actively communicate with others and establish harmonious interpersonal relationship; Schools should meet the demand of teachers’ professional development and improve the teachers’ training system.
