Teaching ability is a core element of teachers’ professional quality and is a strongguarantee of basic education quality. Especially with the continuous progress of newcurriculum reform, the level of teaching ability has become the key impact of smoothdevelopment of curriculum reform. The practice shows that effective teaching and research isan important way to improve teachers’ teaching ability. By means of advanced technology,web teaching and research can effectively improve the single and closed limitations oftraditional teaching and research, being an inevitable trend of teaching and researchdevelopment. However, the overall quality of web teaching and research is not high, and theeffect is not ideal. We believe that web teaching and research goals depends on the adoptionbehavior of web teaching and research of teacher. Therefore, based on the theory of adoptionbehavior, this study carries out the relationship study of teachers’ adoption behavior andteaching ability enhancement from the perspective of teachers’ adoption behavior in webteaching and research.This paper carries out the research based on literature review, combining with certainquestionnaires, interviews and content analysis. Through the literature review on the researchstatus of web teaching and research and teachers’ teaching ability, and analysis the concepts ofweb teaching and research, teaching ability and the theory of adoption behavior. With theusing intention, facilitating factor and using behavior to explain teachers’ adoption behavior inweb teaching and research, and comprehensive analysis current structure classification ofteaching ability and summarize teaching ability as instructional design capacity, teachingimplementation capacity and academic examination evaluation capacity by content analysis.Then put forward the theoretical framework and assumptions, and select junior high schoolteachers of City Z as research objects; investigate the relationship between adoption behaviorof web teaching and research and teaching ability enhancement through questionnaire surveyand statistical analysis and establish the interpretation relational model of adoption behaviorwith three dimensions and teaching ability with three dimensions.The results of data analysis found that the demographic characteristics of teacher cancause the significant difference on their teaching ability among teachers. The adoptionbehavior in web teaching and research has a significant influence on teaching abilityenhancement, especially on teaching implementation capacity. In teacher’s adoption behavior,the use behavior has great effect on teaching ability, facilitating factor has a significantpositive role in promoting on teaching implementation capacity and academic examinationevaluation capacity, use intention indirectly affect the development of the three teaching ability by use behavior. On this basis, the study put forward relevant recommendations andstrategies of adoption of teachers’ behavior in web teaching and research to improvedevelopment of web teaching and research activities, and thus to enhance teachers’ teachingability.
