Sustainable development as a new concept of development has been practicing in China fortwo decades, has made great progress in the same time facing many difficulties, prominentlypopulation, resources and environment and so on. Like serious population problems, seriousenvironmental pollution and ecological destruction, regional differences, lack of resources andother issues, most of which comes from the plight of China’s national spatial features. Clearunderstanding of the spatial characteristics of our land is the basis for students to know thecountry and the key is the secondary school geography important part of national education.Understand the country and we must know that land characteristics. Then how geographyteaching in secondary schools in better learning characteristics of our land space, better basicnational conditions and social learning is linked to the current teaching of geography studentsshould pay attention to.Scholars over the years to national education research, has achieved some results, for thewriting of this article provides a valuable reference and learn from. But we should also be keenlyaware, secondary research from the expected national education or a certain gap. Most scholarsstudy on this issue is more vague, research ideas and more macro perspective, there is littleschool geography textbook content from particular characteristics of national spatial perspectivestudy was to investigate the problem. In this, I try to sort out school geography textbooksnational spatial characteristics of national education research methods. By studying geographytextbooks for high school students understanding of the characteristics of the land to grasp thesituation, to explore the school geography national education approaches and methods.This article is mainly about geography teaching in national spatial characteristics of nationaleducation and research. First, the introduction of the research background, significance andmethods, as well as domestic and foreign research topics in accordance with the status quo. Thesecond chapter is to analyze the geography teaching in national spatial characteristics of the EastMississippi sparse urban space characteristics and spatial characteristics of different regions andecological agricultural characteristics of space, as well as the status of land space. The thirdchapter is a survey analysis and geography teaching in our analysis of the necessity of nationaleducation. The fourth chapter is the study of geography teaching in national spatialcharacteristics of national education combined with countermeasures. Hope that through this study, can cause secondary school geography teacher’s attention, be able to integrate into thenational spatial characteristics of national education teaching, so that students can better graspthe characteristics of China’s land space.
