Sustainable development as a new concept of development has been practicing in China fortwo decades, has made great progress in the same time facing many difficulties, prominentlypopulation, resources and environment and so on. Like serious population problems, seriousenvironmental pollution and ecological destruction, regional differences, lack of resources andother issues, most of which comes from the plight of China’s national spatial features. Clearunderstanding of the spatial characteristics of our land is the basis for students to know thecountry and the key is the secondary school geography important part of national education.Understand the country and we must know that land characteristics. Then how geographyteaching in secondary schools in better learning characteristics of our land space, better basicnational conditions and social learning is linked to the current teaching of geography studentsshould pay attention to.Scholars over the years to national education research, has achieved some results, for thewriting of this article provides a valuable reference and learn from.
