High school physics curriculum idea is to promote the diversification of teaching methods, which includes inquiry-based teaching, and it is one of the most important teaching emphasis and reflects the way of thinking of the scientific inquiry in a physics course textbooks and curriculum standards. Inquiry-based teaching can meet the students’ cognitive process and stimulate students’ initiative, focusing on the practical ability and innovation ability, and therefore subject to the attention of the majority of educators.Inquiry teaching is under the guidance of a teacher, mainly teaching materials for basic inquiry, to provide students with the opportunity to explore independently explore learning and cooperation, organize students to personally participate in individual or group to explore practical activities and experience to explore the laws of physics the process for new knowledge and apply this knowledge to solve specific problems of teaching methods.This study is divided into three parts:First, it discusses the teaching at home and abroad and explores the research, elaborated the concept of scientific inquiry, pointing out that the definition of "scientific inquiry" and "inquiry-based teaching", nature and content of their own design and organization of scientific inquiry teaching lay a theoretical foundation.Second, the seven elements of the interpretation of scientific inquiry in the new curriculum standards are combined with the level of high school students cognitive explore summed up in line with the teaching of high school physics-the experimental discovery, theoretical inquiry-based and theoretical and experimental inquiry-based. Implementation of inquiry-based teaching strategies is based on the problems encountered in the practice of teaching. The third, summarize reflection in the implementation of the inquiry teaching the gain and loss, and pointed out the direction of teaching practice in the future to continue to study.In this paper the practice of "scientific inquiry" teaching of high school physics plays a positive role to improve the teaching of high school physics methods to improve teaching efficiency.
