It is amap teaching mode to change the teachers’ role from leading role to guide roles. Theauthor, with the help of many years practice of classroom teaching, under theguidance of this new teaching model, try to find a way of active learning,enthusiastically study so as to improve the students’ ability of learning with pleasureand interest.The first part is the introduction part, which mainly introduces the researchbackground and research significance of this article. By studying a large number ofliteratures reading at home and abroad, it casts some light on the current situation ofmiddle school students’ learning ability and literacy of map. The second part mainlyintroduces the significance of map explanation learning in middle school geographyteaching and the usage principles.
