"Filial piety, the foundation of morals." Filial piety is the most basic, and the core content in the Confucianism and the whole traditional Chinese morality. Although with the development of the times, because of the invasion of foreign culture, the influence of multiple values, the functions of filial piety have weakened in our society. But it still has a positive effect for the establishment of harmonious family, social relationships, and the training of the personal quality. Therefore, to strengthen the filial piety education among middle school students is of the great realistic meaning. However, nowadays, the media seem to pay more attention to the reports of beatings or insults to older parents as counter examples to catch others’ eyes, so there are more and more criticism and invective about young people’s quality. While we are making judgments on the phenomenon, can’t we consider something from the internal factors? It is well-known that teenagers are naive and easy to educate, then are their unfilial behaviors caused by their own intrinsic reason? What makes filial piety indifferent? How can we effectively carry out filial piety education for young people?According to the reasons above, based on some educational theories as well as a framework of the new education model, this paper mainly adopts the action research as the main research methods to make an empirical study of filial piety education in class A of a middle school in Shijiazhuang city, Hebei Province.This study first designs a questionnaire to survey phenomena and reasons about the students’ filial piety loss in the natural real education environment so as to obtain first-hand materials of filial piety problems in class A. Then analysize the commonness and individuality of filial piety problems in junior middle school students. Next, set up a filial piety education guiding ideology--"emotional care as the premise, experience education as the spindle, example education as the support ". Last, carry out filial piety education activities. Through the four cycles of action, take the way of the combination of the macro guidance (collective education of filial piety) and micro guidance (individual interview about filial piety behaviors) to guide the concept and behaviors of Class A, in which from4perspectives of knowledge, emotion, action and will, we can shape a all-round developed student, making them understand filial piety, know filial piety, fulfill filial piety, and last stick to filial piety. At the end of the study, we summarize the effective educational model of filial piety not only to fill the gaps in educational action research on filial piety, but also to provide reference for future study and pave the way for others.Research found that:1, on the basis of the formation of morality and behavior rules, the planned, organized, and goal-directed filial piety education is beneficial for students to set a profound concept of filial piety, master knowledge, cultivate the filial behaviors, establish the filial piety will, and improve their filial piety quality.2, family, school and society play an important role in the filial piety education.3, in the premise of emotional care, parent-child relationship are more harmonious, more easy to resolve contradictions, therefore make the students to form the thought of filial piety from the heart.4, The experience education have a front and direct influence to the students, therefore, the effect is better than that of didactic education.5, The power of the example has an important influence to junior middle school students with the phenomenon of the more advanced leading the less advanced just like the effect of moistening things silently.6, Currently, score is still the dominant status, and individual parents’and students’negative emotions lead to their superficial education effect. The effect is not obvious.Finally, based on the real empirical research, point out three big misunderstandings about the filial piety education, for other researchers to identify appraisal.
