Content:The junior middle school stage is the key period of individual growth and development. In recent years, more and more mental health status of junior middle school students has received extensive attention from all sectors of society, particularly the problem of anxiety of junior middle school students. The purpose of this study was to preliminarily develop the causes of anxiety questionnaire for junior middle school students, and we applied it to investigate the cause of anxiety for junior middle school students to gaining the macroscopic understanding of the reasons of anxiety for junior middle school students. So we hope to provide the basis for the anxiety of junior middle school students’ education and practical intervention.Based on the synthetic analysis of the literatures and the two open-ended interview results, we summarized the main sources and causes of anxiety for junior middle school students. After the review and revision of the questionnaire by experts, we preliminarily developed the causes of anxiety questionnaire for junior middle school students by the exploratory factor analysis. The causes of anxiety questionnaire for junior middle school students includes six part, a total of71items. Six part:learning anxiety (21items)ã€test anxiety(13items)ã€appearance anxiety (8items)ã€family anxiety(10items)ã€interpersonal relationship anxiety (9items)and love anxiety(10items). After inspection, the homogeneity reliability and the content validity of the questionnaire exceeds acceptable levels.A total of300students were investigated with the causes of anxiety questionnaire for junior middle school students in Zibo city of Shandong Province and Dalian City of Liaoning Province. The results are as follows:Judging from the six sources of anxiety, the detection rate is consistent with the trend presented by the score. Only test anxiety score higher than3in six sources, the detection rate up to55.59%, indicating that more than half of the participants think that examinations are the important source of anxiety. The detection rate of learning anxiety was36.61%, and the score close to3. All these indicate that learning anxiety is the second important source of junior middle school students. Judging from the scores of the factors, There are three factors that the detection rate of more than50%, and being generally recognized the causes of anxiety. These are" The attitude of the examination results (3.76>3)"ã€"The effects of family’s health (3.43>3)"and "The effects of outside pressure (3.10>3)" of the learning anxiety.The individual differences of anxiety causes in junior middle school students is mainly reflected in the grade differences. There is no significant gender differences in neither six sources of anxiety nor the three factors being generally accepted. The grade differences of junior middle school students’ anxiety causes is mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1) Judging from the six sources of anxiety, the detection rate of different grades is significantly different. Detection rates in four sources of anxiety show a descending order of grade three, grade first, grade second trend. These four sources are learning anxietyã€test anxietyã€appearance anxiety and love anxiety. In both family anxiety and interpersonal relationship anxiety, the highest detection rate is grade one.(2) Judging from the three factors being generally accepted, grade difference is mainly reflected in the attitude of the examination results. The score of grade three is significantly higher than the score of either grade one or grade two, while no significant difference between grade one and grade two. |
