Since the energy problem hasinvolved in a large number of environmental problems, so all the countries in the world payclose attention to the energy issue. The Chinese government propose” China energy must takethe high technological content, low resources consumption, less environmental pollution, good economic returns and safety development path”. It requires us to construct the energyconsumption system which is saving resource. At present, the energy problem of China has not yet found the best solution, so it is urgentfor us to change people’s energy consumption behavior. College students not only haveextremely strong energy consumption demand, but also have an advanced concept ofconsumption. The study will take college students’ energy consumption behavior as theresearch object, and we verify the main factors which affect college students’ energyconsumption behavior. In view of the energy consumption problems of college students, wegive some suggestions to guide and educate their low energy consumption behavior. The paper combines the internal and external research and the energy consumption status ofcollege students, assuming that the individual psychological factors, situational factors anddemographic factors have influence on energy consumption behavior. The paper measurescollege students’ energy consumption behavior by the form of questionnaire to analyze thebehavior. Finally, using the Fisher Discriminant analysis method tests college students’ energyconsumption behavior model, and draws the corresponding conclusions: the main factorsaffecting college students’ energy consumption behavior are the individual psychologicalfactors and situational factors, and demographic factors have weaker effect on collegestudents’ energy consumption behavior than the other two. In the end, it points out that weshould not only fully mobilize and play the resultant of education force between the collegesand government, but also exercise the students’ self education and cognitive abilities in orderto correctly guide the energy consumption behavior of college students.
