In2009, Micro-blog has became a new type of network media, and with its remarkableadvantages, it quickly swapped the world. During two or three years of time, the users of Micro-blog raisedsharply. With the explosive growth of utilization rate, Micro-blog’s influence is also growing. Follow thefashion pace, college students’ natural unwilling fall behind. With strong function, Micro-blog won moreand more young college students, and increasingly become an important media for college students, socialpolitics news information, interpersonal, resources sharing, self-expression and even participating politics.The university period is the mean time that youth ideals, beliefs, world outlooks, outlook on life, valuesoverall collision, are changed. Because of its powerful media effects among youths, many college studentsare vulnerable to its influence, and deal with fake news will interfere with college students’ judgment. Inthis situation, the ideological and political education teachers should keep pace with “the times”. We shouldactively research and use this emerging network media, and make full use of Micro-blog to make theuniversity students’ ideological and political education getting better and better. continuously enhance theideological and political education work more attractive and effectiveness, this not only is to new situationand new cases of college students’ ideological and political work actively respond to, also be constantconsolidation and expansion of the ideological and political education position favorable way. This paper isdivided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction, explains the research background, research the theoretical andpractical significance and research status at home and abroad, analyzes the research method of this paper,elaborates the framework of this research and innovation..The second chapter, the basic meaning of micro-blog and the overview of Ideological and politicaleducation of college students, including the connotation of micro-blog, micro-blog development process aswell as the three main functions, based on the micro-blog feasibility analysis to carry out ideological andpolitical education of College students.The third chapter, on the basis of clarifying the basic theory of the micro-blog and college students’Ideological and political education, combining the characteristics of micro-blog micro-blog pointed out thatthe impact of two aspects of Ideological and political education of college students and.The fourth chapter, by studying the typical applications of micro-blog in Ideological and politicaleducation of college students, points out five problems in micro-blog application in student’s ideologicaland political education, the importance of micro-blog application of University Ideological and politicaleducation is not enough, the lack of the characteristics of micro-blog content not attractive, micro-blog isbetter than that of other educational media into full play, thought political educators lack of micro-blogcontrol and guide ability, students play the main role in the micro-blog application to fail to the process ofIdeological and political education..
