At the beginning of2001,comprehensive study is considered as an important part in Chinese curriculum.It has been first put forward and required in details in "Full-time compulsory Education-the Curriculum Standard"(experimental draft). At the end of2011the new edition of the book has offered a further requirement on comprehensive study,and widened its meaning. What’s more, in this book the author offers us the advice on how to practice the comprehensive study. Form then on, we have met different kinds of difficulties in practice. On one hand, the comprehensive study is just a slogan in the exam-oriented education system and has not been carried out yet. On the other hand, on the reverse, comprehensive study has been unlimitedly used. As a result, Chinese lost its features and treated comprehensive study as its only target, so that there was no interest in Chinese classes.This essay is aimed at the second point. I will explore the cultural aspect in Chinese comprehensive study with my own experience and actual teaching practice. Take Chinese textbook of Person Teaching Edition as the survey target. Select16topics from the30topics on comprehensive study in the6textbooks. These16topics focus on different kinds of comprehensive studies. Divide them into4categories and analysis the characters of each topic. What’s more, I prefer to analyze the cultural aspect and the teaching implementation in each category according to my teaching experience. This passage will also offer the importance of advocating the cultural significance in different countries under the circumstance of the request on comprehensive study in foreign countries.This essay can be divided into4parts:the general characters of comprehensive study and the definition of Chinese comprehensive study, the cultural respective in Chinese comprehensive learning and the lack of cultural features, classification of the cultural aspect in Chinese textbook of Person Teaching Edition, and the development of Chinese comprehensive study in the future.
