Cultivation Of The Spirit Of The Contemporary Era College Students

College students, who are the future of our motherland, shoulder the great historical mission of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Their thoughts and behavior have an important influence to the process of socialist construction; their mental outlook is deeply related to the action of building a moderately prosperous society. Values of contemporary young college students are intrinsically linked with the Zeitgeist of the socialist core value system. According to the status quo, the author analyzes the problem and find out the reasons to follow the development of the principle and perfect nurturing mechanism and methods. This paper contains the three-part:Part Ⅰ:The author explain the Zeitgeist from a philosophical level and analysis the similarities and differences of the Hegel’s interpretation and Marx’s understanding of the Zeitgeist. In contemporary China, the "Zeitgeist" as a political noun proposed. According to the investigation report, the author think specific to the student population will have to cultivate the innovative spirit of contemporary college students with critical questioning, realistic and pragmatic scientific spirit, the spirit of hard work to explore cutting-edge issues, open and inclusive vision of the world, the spirit of democracy and the rule of law and the spirit of patriotism. They are beneficial to both society and individuals.Part Ⅱ:We learn that the students overall situation in the mainstream of Ideological and maintain is healthy, positive, upward momentum from the rolling survey of college students’ ideological and political situation in2012. But we can not be optimistic about the reality of the situation, such as the lack of awareness of democracy and the legal system, the lack of persistent exploration of courage. College students the spirit of the times the process of cultivating nurtured not clear enough, nurtured mechanism is not sound enough. We should find out the reasons and to rectify.Part Ⅲ:The countermeasure of nurturing the Zeitgeist to contemporary college students. First, some principles should to be followed:the principle of combining the needs of the community and the student’s personality; the principle of the traditional culture continuous with the Zeitgeist; The principle of unifying the reality and the future. Second, we should to perfect the mechanism, such as the education and evaluation mechanisms. Finally, the author proposes some useful methods to cultivating college students’ the Zeitgeist and makes them to be good successors of the socialist modernization.
