The Present Situation Of The Ordinary University Public Snorts Option Class Study In Chcngdu

In the middle of1980s, China has improved the PE Teaching Reform incolleges and universities. This reform directly results in the PE optional class which ishighly popular in teachers and students in regular institutions of higher learning.However, with the development of the reform, some problems which are adverse to PEteaching have emerged. The reasons would be the blindness of choosing class and theunscientific arrangement of teaching. For example some students take the optional classfor granted and some teachers’ attitude toward teaching is passive. Therefore guidingstudents to have a reasonable choose and arranging a scientific PE optional class willplay a vital role in learning and teaching and is also the purpose of college PE teaching.Based on the local fieldwork in Sichuan normal university, Sichuan university,Chengdu university of technology, University of electronic science and technology ofChina and Southwest Jiaotong university, students who have chosen the PE optionalclass are selected randomly as the subjective of the investigation. This articlesystematically analyzes and put forward some questions regarding the arrangement andadministration of PE optional class in colleges through literature review, investigation,mathematical statistics, interview and observation.Some of the problems in PE optional class in colleges could be classified into tenkinds:1. Guide before PE optional class is missing;2. The teacher’s professional level isnot balanced;3. Teaching quality needs to be improved;4. Students change the classfrequently;5. Lack of sports facilities;6. The mode of PE optional class makes teachingdifficult to be arranged.Therefore the suggestions are as follows:1. Paying a close attention to guide beforeclass;2. Strengthening the construction of teachers’ team;3. strengthening the teachingmanagement;5. Making effective use of sports facilities;6. Increasingly changing PEoptional Class into the club form.
