| Held in March2011,The Country’s12th Five-Year Plan proposes to fullspeed up the development of the education reform, the requirements in accordance withthe priority to the development, the first to educating people, the reform and innovation,promoting the fair and improving the quality. To promote the scientific development ofeducation, improve education modernization level and play to the advantages of humanresources requirements. The junior geography curriculum reform implemented inSichuan so far, has been a decade. During this period, the junior geography teaching,whether formally or essentially, there are great changes. Especially as the ways andmeans of teaching-educational philosophy, has been a huge shift in the new educationalreform, the biggest change is the shift from "teacher-centered imparting teaching" to"students as the main the guided teaching". So concerned about the students’maininitiative in teaching education become the focus.There’re many teaching focus in geography education and teaching. Then whatteaching methods do we take in order to maximize the mobilization of the enthusiasmand initiative of the students? From many teaching focus, this study choose a goodeffective focus-geographic meta-learning ability of junior students to explore andresearch to improve the learning ability. Firstly, from the Sichuan12thFive-Year Plan’semphasis on education and the basic idea of the new curriculum reform in junior highschool geography, it analyzes the research status and trends on the meta-learning ability.Secondly, it describes the concept of geographic meta-learning ability, developmentprocess, development characteristics as well as the reasons of junior high schoolstudents lack geographic meta-learning capacity. Thirdly, this study makes a statusinvestigation and observation about geographic meta-learning ability in junior high school students and geography teachers, uses spss analysis of statistical tools to collectdata conducting the analysis, combining the geographic teaching experience,summarizes the main elements’effect in the formation mechanism of junior highschool geographic meta-learning,Which from the teachers and students as well as the external environment. Finally,using case analysis method from the three main elements affect, proposes theapplication implementation strategy how to improve the junior high school studentsgeographic meta-learning ability. I hope to play a reference role in the development andimprovement of the junior high school geography through this study. |
