Self-examination is a form of education that is different from the full-timehigher education form; it is an important form of higher education with Chinesecharacteristics. It has deeply impact in China and the world, and is an extension ofthe significance of education. Study the self-examination education form will helpto deepen the under standing of the different stages of development of China’sreformed opening up, and also conducive to better inter-relate deeper grasp ofpopular education and self-study exam.In this paper, the historical analysis method is used to study theself-examination education form. The paper first reviewed the historicaldevelopment of the higher education self-study examination. While historicalanalysis of qualitative research, complemented by adequate statistics to protect thepoint of view of the objective of the article, trustworthy, qualitative analysis andquantitative analysis. This thesis is divided into two main parts, which are theINTRODUCTION and the body part. INTRODUCTION summarizes thesignificance of the thesis topics, current research, and research ideas. The body partis divided into four chapters, the first chapter of the Higher Education Examinationpractice as the process of popularization of higher education in China; secondchapter analyzes the existing problems and reasons of China’s higher educationself-study examination in positioning; on the basis of the analysis in the abovesections, the third chapter pointed out that the repositioning of China’s highereducation self-study examination is a prerequisite for the healthy development ofself-examination; the fourth chapter be further explored the path ofself-examination in the context of Mass repositioning. The innovation of this paperis that, by drawing on relevant theoretical and practical experience of thepopularization of higher education, to build self-study examination of higher education with Chinese characteristics, the popularization of higher educationthought that based on the practice of reform of higher education, and services in thepractice of reform and its implementation path is in line with China’s nationalconditions, meaningful development path of higher education self-studyexamination.
