| Research purpose: Research was conducted on using the model of competitive sportseducation on badminton course for students of2012majoring in sports training in ShenyangSports University. This project tests the feasibility and effectiveness of this education model inbadminton courses in our school.Research method: Except for the application of literature, expert interviews, observationand mathematical statistics, the main methods applied in this study are measurement method andeducation experiment. Two scales of measuring methods are used. The first one is “the scale ofinternal motivation after the experiment†which is suitable for testing the internal motivationafter taking part in some interesting activities in some experimental conditions. Threecomponents were chosen to be tested including interests, subjective abilities and subjectivechoices. The second scale is “sports situational motivationâ€, which is suitable for students inmiddle schools and universities. It is used for psychological evaluation between experimentalclasses and comparative classes. The content of education experiment is that it creates manydepartments and provides different characters for students to play. According to the grades beforethe experiment, students are divided into5groups. Different matches are held for individuals andamong groups.Research results: Through a semester of the experiment, it can be found that students’practical level has been significantly improved. Competitive sports education pattern hasadvantages in improving practical level. First, using enough time to hold matches can increasestudents’ practical experience. Second, the training methods have changes before and aftermatches. Third, there are changes of points ranking. Finally, it emphasizes the honor ofcollectives and encourages students to take active part in the competition. Meanwhile,competitive sports education model is better in psychological training than traditionaleducational model. The differences lie in the following aspects: the changes of evaluationstandard in matches; the independent choice for training contents (making study cards); morerole-playing; varieties of matches; celebrations in final term; the changes of evaluation onstudents’grades of final exam.Research conclusions: Competitive sports education model has better effect in improvingstudent’s abilities in actual races. It is also better than traditional education model in students’mind education. According to the research, this test is welcomed by all the students of2012inbadminton course. Therefore, this test can be developed in our school. Suggestion: The test can be held in our school to test its feasibility and effectiveness in a smallscale. Teachers in the test should properly use the education model and also create goodfriendship between teachers and students. |
