When pepole make consumption decisions, they always face a difficult problem that isspending now or spending temporarily desire under control by savings and consumption in thefuture. Savings and consumption is a kind of "internal conflict", if you want to delay with willhave to be "self control". Student loan student whose repayment pressure, in theory they shouldbe in the consumer to control themselves. This research adopts the "denomination effect" and"mental accounting" as the means to control the consumption, examines the student loan studentdebt monitoring ability in different face value choice and the differences of mental accounts, andexamines the differences between the loan students and the non-loan students in their dailyconsumption, denomination effect and mental accounting. The conclusion is as follows:(1) The students on the debt monitoring subscales and total debt tolerance, there issignificant differences in gender, but no significant difference in variables such as subjectsgrades and loan years.(2)The differences of daily consumption between the loan students and non-loan studentsare: loan students consumption is mostly between600to800yuan per month, while the numberis between800to1000yuan at most in non-loan students; loan students living expenses sourceexcept for a few comes from parents, more will choose the scholarships, part-time and studentloan off, instead of non-loan students most of its income comes from their parents; in networkcommunication, entertainment and daily supplies, the cost of loan students less than the non-loanstudents, and in terms of purchasing the learning materials, the loan students spend more than thenon-loan students; the percent of keeping accounts is higher in the loan students than thenon-loan students.(3) The different income account exists at the mercy of the very different ways, the normalincome tend to survivability investment, savings and developmental, social investment, and arare student loans are more likely to save more, survivability investment and development,human feelings; Amount distribution of different sources of income in different projects cancompare to a certain extent a students to distinguish the student loan debt monitoring ability.(4)Mental accouting is the indicators of distinguishing liability surveillance.Different sources of income will affect the loan students and the non-loan students amount allocated in thesame project.(5) For loans students, the denomination effect of ones who have higher debt monitoringability is more significant than the ones whose debt monitoring ability is lower, and the formerhave lower possibility to go shopping than the latter; the loan students show more obvioustendency of denomination effect and more reluctant to go shopping than the non-loan ones.To sum up, this study loan to expand and enrich the psychology research field, it canprovide psychological basis for the college students’ credit education and credit management.
