Research On The Development Of College Educational Foundations In Our Country

The development of higher education play an important role in promoting theeconomic blossom, cultivating various of talents and enhancing nationalcompetitiveness of our country. In recent years, colleges and universities in ourcountry have improved a lot either in scales and quantities or in enrollment and inbase installation for scientific research, hence they have made a great contribution toturning China into innovative nation and serving the community.Meanwhile, we should notice as well that, the rapid development of highereducation has not only proposed high demand of sustainable growth in educationalinput, but also led to a series of structural contradictions. In spite of the fact thatnational investment in higher education went up every year, the proportion ofpayment in colleges and universities remains relatively low in national finances,which affects sustainable development of higher education. For this reason, theproblem—how to extend social credit channel, attract social forces of investment andguarantee the development of higher education in a sustainable, stable and efficientway while continuously keep the fundamental station of national investment in highereducation—has become a hotspot for public debate and research. With the implementof reform and opening up policy and economical progress, groups and friendly peopleat home and abroad have showed more and more understanding and support forcolleges and universities. In order to attract more investment, extend channel forfundraising school and work out the shortage in funding, some colleges anduniversities in our country have set up foundations for college education according torelevant national regulations. Plus, it is one of the main methods to extend the thirdfundraising channel that establishing educational foundations and concentrating moreefforts in attracting social investment.Foundation for college education in our country has experienced years ofdevelopment and learned plenty of lessons. So many issues, like how to realize theposition of educational foundation, how to efficiently take college educational foundation in charge so that it could become fully effective in development of highereducation, also how to maintain and increase the value of assets in foundations, howto establish a new type of foundation management system, a sophisticated foundationfinancial system, evaluation system and supervision system, all of these above areimportant subjects of managing college education foundation and are expectingfurther summery and research.In this thesis author attempts to analysis the background significance ofestablishing college educational foundations, the courses of evolution, the stagecharacteristic of it through combination of case materials on specific circumstancesand operation mechanism of inland colleges. On this basis, including the foundationsin Qinghua and Beijing universities as an example of foundation operation mechanismin famous colleges with particular emphasis on problems in development of collegeeducational foundation, we will pay our attention on these aspects,such as theresource of donated fund, the real purpose, the way to maintain and increase the valueof assets and management system, then find out the main problem and the key to it,from which we can by fortune refine some methods and strategies, worthy of learningand using for development of national college educational foundations, so that we canorder some inspiring suggestions for further improvement of our college educationalstrategies.This thesis is divided into five chapters, including followings:The first chapter, Introduction: mainly includes raising up relative problems,literature review, the significance of research, the train of thought and the methods forresearch.The second chapter, The theoretical basis and the implications of collegeeducational foundation: tries to analysis theoretical basis and precisely summarize theimplications and characteristics of college educational foundation on basis ofcollected documents and data as well as author’s analyse.The third chapter, Development status of college educational foundations in ourcountry: sum up and expound the general situation of foundation’s origin and development and the present condition.The fourth chapter, Dilemma in development of college educational foundationsin our country: briefly discuss the difficulties, facing with the establishment of collegeeducational foundation, and the reasons for them, expecting a certain extentmotivational effect on development of college educational foundations in our country.The fifth chapter, Strategies and suggestions for the development of collegeeducational foundations in our country: finds out effective methods and strategies,worthy of learning and using for reference in developing college educationalfoundations in our country, proposes some inspiring suggestions for furtherimprovement of college educational foundations in our country.
