Life lies in movement. Physical exercise affects people’shealth, especially for college students. It has extremely importantsignificance to the students themselves and the whole society.Therefore, this paper conducts the investigation and study on collegestudents’ physical exercise behavior.In order to have a comprehen-sive understanding of the physical exercise of college students atpresent stage, found the problems existing in the college studentsthat participate in physical exercise, guide students to takeexercise, and set up the lifelong sports concept. At the same timepromote the research of college student physical exerciseintervention strategy,that to provide the basis and reference forthe relevant policy.The paper utilizes the theory of stages of behavior changes modelby using the method of literature investigation,experts interviews,questionnaires,logical analysis and data statistics to investigatesthe college students’ physical exercise behavior, and attributionanalysis of the results of the survey. As a result,the author reachesa conclusion as follows:1.The physical exercises of college students displays a procedural characteristic.The distribution form appearsan inverted "V" shape. The distribution forms for different kindsof students are approximately identical.2.The physical exercisesof college students displays an unstable characteristic.More than40percent of students have this phenomenon.3.The students ofdifferent genders and different disciplines who take part in physicalexercises are differentiated. The students of different grades anddifferent origins who take part in physical exercises are notdifferentiated. The influences of different genders and disciplinesof students’ physical exercise behavior is remarkable.4.The factorsthat affect college students’ physical exercise behavior includesticking, exercise interest, family and friends, etc.5.The effectfactors of precontemplation, contemplation and preparation can beattributed to the external factors. The effect factors of action andmaintenance can be attributed to the internal factors.6.The groupsof negative exercise people are easily affected by external factors.And the groups of positive exercise people are easily influenced byinternal factors. Therefore, for different kinds of people, we shouldthink from different stand point to improve their physical exercisebehavior.
