The effectiveness of university’s ideological and political education has alwaysbeen a big difficult point in education field.The researchers from many aspects toexplore, the direction were various and complex,combined with the essence andpurpose of the ideological and political education, the truth and emotion are twoimportant factors in the process. How to use the truth strength and emotion strength toenhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education,this is the key ofthe article.After analyzing the problems which exist in the present ideological and politicaleducation, the reasons of affecting effectiveness mainly include lack of truth, lack ofemotion, improper way, single environment, and improper practice five aspects. Startfrom the reasons, do further deeply theory study, find effectual feasible measures. Secondly, from the participants, education method, education environment,practice four aspects to make full use of the strength of truth and emotion to increase theideological and political education’s effectiveness. On the basis of "knowing","emotion",the truth strength and emotion strength, must be combined to play a role forinspiring students’action. Finally,make clear of the definition and necessity of thecombination of truth strength and emotion strength, with the principle and purpose ofthe combination as foundation, find out the point and way to combine the twostrength,then let combined strength play a role in the university ideological and politicaleducation,and promote college students to put the theory into practice, achieve the goalthat strengthen the effectiveness of the ideological and political education.
