As the highly rapid development of Positive Psychology in recent years,Subjective Well-being has become an guideline for people to evaluate theimprovement of their life quality. The future of a country is based on its educationand the hope of education lies in teachers. The life quality of teachers directlyinfluences the quality of education, also affects the future of the developing of acountry in some way. Emphasizing on the living status of teachers has been a crucialpart of the work on education development. Therefore, teachers, as a group of thespecial professionals, naturally arise the interests of the researchers. Among them, asthe real executor of primary education, the primary school teachers are of obvioussignificance. The research on primary school teachers’professional well-being offersan important condition for the improvement of primary education in China. As anessential part of the specialization development of primary school teachers, it is alsothe precondition of promoting happiness of primary school students. Thus, it is thefundamental work of the all-round improvement of education in China.This research synthetically uses the method of literature, combined withquestionnaires and interviews to search for a large number of related materials. Itstudies primarily on the situation of professional well-being and its effects ofprimary school teachers in Urumqi and Hami Prefecture in the Xinjiang UygurAutonomous Region. According to the research, some constructive methods andmeasures are proposed on the enhancement of professional well-being of primaryschool teachers in order to promote the development of primary education inXinjiang. This Thesis falls into the following three parts. The first part isIntroduction, mainly introducing the search purpose, significance, methodology,definitions of main item and the related domestic and overseas research. The secondpart is the main body of this thesis, through the method of questionnaires andinterviews, drawing the conclude that the situation of professional well-being ofprimary school teachers in Xinjiang does not allow optimistic thoughts. And there isa significant difference of this situation between the teachers in Urumqi and the onesin Hami Prefecture. The professional well-being of primary school teachers varieswith nationalities, work age and professional qualification; the higher professionalqualification one possesses, the lower professional well-being he owes because ofhis greater stress. Professional well-being of primary school teachers is also effectedby the salary, the cultural environment of school, cooperation of students’s parents, students’quality level and so on. The third part falls into discussion and suggestions.According to the survey of this thesis, suggestions are put forwards in the respect ofteachers, schools and the society to enhance the professional well-being of primaryschool teachers in Xinjiang.It is Building database for the status of teachers occupation level of happinessXinjiang primary school by this study. I hope to be able to expand the researchobject in the follow-up study, and in-depthly investigate in South Xinjiang region,primary school teachers, with particular emphasis on the southern and NorthernXinjiang area sampling minority primary school teachers, by analysisingmultivariate culture of minority teachers occupation well-being this expansion,expending the content of the research is the direction.
