The textbook is an important part of the curriculum.It directly reflect the learning goals, content and methods for students of curriculum. Teachers reasonably use textbook can not only dilute the negative influences of the textbook, but also can promote the professional development of teachers.This paper focuses on teachers how to use textbook, based on questionnaire survey and observation of682mathematics teachers of elementary school. The emphases of study are as follows:(1) teachers use textbooks based on curriculum standards;(2)the style of teachers ues textbook;(3)methods of teachers use textbook;(4) how teacher use every part of textbook;(5) the learning style of teachers guide students learned textbook;(6) student academic performance evaluation and teachers use of textbooks;(7) curriculum resources and teachers use of textbooks;(8) the feedback of teachers use textbook and the difficulties encountered by teachers use textbook.Research findings of the main problems about teachers use textbook are follows:(1) teachers use textbooks deviates form curriculum standards;(2) teaching evaluation hinders teachers use textbook based on curriculum standards;(3) teachers tend to rely on textbooks;(4) teachers use textbooks by teacher-centered methods;(5) it’s necessary for teacher improve to use comprehensive practical activities and problems studies of textbook;(6)it’s necessary for teachers improve to guides students study textbook by initiatively cooperatively and inquiry learning style;(7) teachers don’t make full use of three-dimensional objects to evaluate learning outcomes of students studies textbook;(8) It’s lack of activity and way for teachers to feedback the use of textbook;(9) lack of relevant teaching resources of teachers use textbook.Based on the analysis of the current situation and problems of the use of teachers use textbook, author give teachers,R&D department of textbooks and educational administrations some suggestions to make better the use and compile of textbook as follows.The suggestion for teacher:(1)Use textbook based on curriculum standard;(2) To reflect on their own’s awareness of understanding textbook and change it;(3)According to students’needs to reconstruct textbook;(4) reconstruct own’s concepts of curriculum resources;(5) Participate in action research activity to solve the problems with use textbook;(6)Participate in cooperative activity between universities and schools to promote own’s ability of use textbook.The suggestion for R&D department of textbooks:(1) Compiling supporting manual of textbook for teacher;(2) To establish feedback platform of teacher use textbook;(3)To establish database of teaching resources which is closely related the use of textbook.The suggestion for educational administrations:(1)To establish teaching evaluation system based on curriculum standard.(2) Strengthen training of the use of textbooks for teachers.
