Research On The Social Support Of Retired Athletes In Liaoning Province

Retired athletes can successfully integrate into the society, not only in relation to thesustainable development of sports undertakings, even affect the construction of harmonioussociety. To solve their survival and development problems of retired athletes effective, canensure that the athletics sports reserve talent everfount and ensure the sustainable development ofcompetitive sports. In this paper, take advantage of the social support theory and method toanalysis theoretical and empirical research part of the retired athletes’ social support problem inLiaoning province, in order to provide reference for the sustainable livelihood problems ofretired athletes effectively.In this paper the social support of retired athletes in Liaoning Province is the research object.Select288people as the research object, the empirical and systems analysis is spread accordingto the focus group’s composition, the social support’s type, quantity and approach of the socialsupport, the evaluation of social support that they have gained. Then we can get mainconclusions as follows:(1) Supported the key group of retired athletes social network include: parents, spouse orlover, relatives, teammates, coaches, sports team management of retired athletes; social networkand social support key groups include: medical institutions, employing units, news media andeducational institutions;(2) Rtired athletes social support types include: economic support, material support,instrumental support, medical support, employment support, information support, emotionalsupport; Different type of relationship groups to provide social support have obvious differences,the parents in providing economic support, material support, emotional, instrumental supporteffect is obvious, a lover or lover is better in providing emotional support role, coach to provideemployment support and employment information support effect is obvious, the news media toprovide information support is relatively obvious; employment support, information support isrelatively obvious provided by the employer, the medical institutions to provide medical servicesto support the general;(3) Support approach of retired athletes in the network are more concentrated in the meeting,network, telephone, gifts, network support body are giving, training, fundraising way;(4) The majority of retired athletes on the current social support is not satisfactory, there are45%retired athletes on social networks within the support group is not satisfied, there are 79.2%retired athletes on social networks and support groups are not satisfied; there are54.2%retired athletes on social networks and supports the content comparison not satisfied,62.5%retired athletes on social networks and support content more dissatisfied; support approachto social relations within the network of54.2%retired athletes is not satisfied, there is supportapproach55.5%retired athletes on the social relation network is not satisfied.This study suggests that: improve the retired athletes perceived social support, further enrich theretired athletes social network, improve their own quality of retired athletes, supply ofinformation platform open can effectively solve the problem of social support of retired athletesretired athletes to further improve the system of social support and.
