| University life is an important period of students, and physical health in this period isrelated to their future. So, how to improve the students’ physique is primary problem. Throughinvestigation of college students’ physical condition to understand their health status, and findout the effect factors of their physical health, it will play an important role for independentexercise ability cultivation and lifelong healthy awareness formation of college students.Taking400students in Liaoning University of Science and Technology as the researchobject, this paper test the students’ body shape, body function and physical quality according tothe2010National Physical Fitness Test Requirements and Methods. with literature data method,experiment measurement method, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics. To providereference data for promoting students physical health, this paper compared the results with thenational students’ physique test and clears the influencing factors of physical health.Body shape indicators: the heights of male and female college students are less than thetesting results in2010, men’s average height is171.82+/-6.59cm while women’s is159.64+/-5.08cm, p>0.05, difference are not significant. The weights of male and female collegestudents are more than testing results in2010, the men’s average weight is66.37+/-13.01kgwhile women’s overall body weight is54.72+/-7.58kg, p <0.01, differences are extremelysignificant. Men’s overall BMI is22.39+/-4.09, women’s overall BMI is21.39+/-3.08, p>0.05, difference are not significant..Body function indicators: lung capacity is higher than2010test results, men’s overall lungcapacity is4157.48+/-795.69ml, women’s total lung capacity is2828.93+/-499.52ml, p <0.01, differences are significant. Men’s generally lung capacity index is64.11+/-14.49ml/kg,women’s generally lung capacity index is52.27+/-10.60ml/kg, p <0.05differences aresignificant.Physical quality indicators: Sit and Reach is higher than2010test results, men’s overall Sitand Reach is17.12+/-7.11cm, women’s overall Sit and Reach is22.56+/-6.94cm, p <0.01,differences are significant. The level of1000m and800m is below2010test results, men’s1000m scores is3.38+/-0.49min while women’s800m score is3.59+/-0.30min, p <0.01,differences are significant. The results of standing long jump showed no big difference comparedwith2010, men’s overall score is2.25+/-1.73m,p <0.01, differences are extremely significant,women’s overall score is1.67+/-2.00m,p <0.01, differences are extremely significant. Grip strength is higher than2010results, men’s overall score is41.18+/-8.47kg, p <0.01,differences are extremely significant. Women’s overall score is25.55+/-4.66kg, p <0.05differences are significant. Pull-ups and sit-up were higher than the2010results, men’s overallscore is15.79+/-4.10times p <0.01, differences are extremely significant. Women’s overallscore is28.47+/-9.39times p <0.05differences are significant.Research conclusions: From the test results obtained after comparing with the NationalHealth Standard, many testing results of this university don’t meet the national level. Students’height index is lower than the national standard; the weight index is higher than the nationalstandard with a growing trend. Students grow fatter, but speed and endurance index has adownward trend. The women’s heart and lung function are not good.There are some reasons for above results: the unusual diet, living environment and livinghabits hare closely related. with it. Insufficient teaching environment and sports facilities,ineffective physical education curriculum resource, and little attention to physical health alsodirectly affect the healthy growth of students.Proposals School should pay more attention to the normal exercise as well as the amateurexercise, enhance student’s enthusiasm of amateur exercise, make sufficient use of existingteaching resources and focus on training students’ physical health knowledge. Only in theseways can the students’ physical health level be improved. |
