From the middle of1980s, as the development industrialization and urbanizationof China, Migrant workers have become the main components of China’s industrialworkers and the main force of urbanization. At the end of2011, the level ofurbanization in China reached51.27%,for the first time urban population exceed therural population, agriculture is no longer a "reservoir" of surplus labor, migrantfarmers would irreversibly go in to cities for job hunting, there would be more andmore rural population became urban population in the future. However, in the nearlythree decades process of urbanization the problems of migrant workers in thechildren’s schooling, health care and other social welfare withstand manydiscrimination are still not resolved, in the urbanization the migrant workers are in thestatus of "marginalized","semi-urban", and even “passive urbanization”. To the publicas the main content of the migrant workers a fair and equitable city into research,become a major issue of "12Five-Year" during the second transformation ofdevelopment and urbanization Strategic, has also become an important content andopportunities construction of the rapid urbanization of the harmony of social spatialstructure.This thesis takes Xi’an as an example, based on urban social life spaceperspective do the research and analysis on the integration of migrant workers in thecity. on the basis of systematically analyze the results of domestic and foreignimmigration, the city of migrant workers integration research, by means ofquestionnaires and interviews to obtain data, using the theory and method ofapplication of urban geography, urban social geography, do the research through spaceand micro-level features of the conduct of daily life in the city of migrant workers, toreflect the behavioral characteristics of the migrant workers in urban daily life bybuilding the city integrate into index system.Do in-depth research on the spatial characteristics of the city of Xi’an city migrantworkers groups integrate into the cities. The conclusion of the study will contribute tothe in-depth study of urbanization and the study of urban migrant workers to integrateinto the cities, facilitate the development of fair, fair, orderly and dignifiedurbanization guide policy, with a wide range of the value of social practice to promotethe integrate into of China’s migrant workers in cities.The following conclusions can be made from this paper: Firstly, the rural migrantworkers’ integration into the city can be divided into3stages: The first stage is forliving demand and higher income, that is the integration of living and economic space.The second stage is the integration of everyday life and community space. The lastone is the identity and psychological recognition. Secondly, The rural migrantworkers’ integration in Xi’an remains in the first stage, that is say, for the ruralmigrant workers in Xi’an, their first objective is to meet their demand for living andincome. Migrant workers to the availability of community resources are limited.Thirdly, the integration degree varies from area to area. The extent of the integrationof rural migrant workers with different ages and various cultural backgrounds variesgreatly. The new generation of rural migrant workers favors the central urban area andthe integration ability of the rural migrant workers in the suburb is higher than that inthe central urban area. The new generation of rural migrant workers who become themain force of urbanization are longing for becoming new citizens. The recognitionconcerning city life varies from different regions. The living space between the ruralmigrant workers and urban citizens has been isolated.
