Positive psychology is well-developed in the recent decade, it suggests to use a scientific method to explore the human strength,virtue,wisdom and creativity for the purpose of improving the society and meeting the demands of our own development. As Positive Psychology’s growing stronger, people start to think out of the box, thus it is no longer specific for psychology, but also apply to other subjects like human resource management. It is essential to learn children’s mental activity during the Primary English Education. Applying Positive Psychology’s latest theory to guild the Primary English Teaching has the significant meaning. It is not only root for the teaching theory, but also provide a brand new vision of solving problems.This thesis is builded on three basic points of Positive psychology:positive emotion, individual traits and institutions. By using the methods of questionnaire survey, interview and observation, the survey is analyzed from the following four aspects:students, teachers, the relationship and the English learning atmosphere. Several problems was discovered during the survy, such as students enthusiasam of learning is declined with the growth of grade, teachers suffer a lot from the pressure then throw it on students, relationship between teacher and students are mostly effected by the score, the atmosphere of english learning was not warm, etc. Based on those problems, the last part of the thesis puts more emphasis on four parts:raising students positive emotion:using situational teaching method and avoid the negative emotion; rising teacher’s passion outside and inside the class; building harmonious relationship by respecting students’ distinguished personalities; creating positive atmosphere.
