The article uses the literature material method, interview method, questionnairesurvey method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods to Hunanprovince12of traditional ethnic sports elective course in common colleges anduniversities set up present situation investigation, a comprehensive understanding oftraditional ethnic sports elective courses in common colleges and universities in Hunanprovince reality, find the influence of traditional ethnic sports elective courses incommon colleges and universities in Hunan province, in order to the furtherdevelopment of the provincial.On12of Hunan province present situation investigation of national traditionalsports elective course in common colleges and universities, the course in physicaleducation teaching in colleges and universities are public elective courses in the form ofopen, but the hours are not the same of course, there is almost no arrangement theoryand theory of examination; Teaching content is given priority to with martial arts, fewtraditional minority national sports course.After analysis of survey results found that, in the hunan province ordinaryuniversity’s national traditional sports elective course teaching process exists thefollowing problems: the lack of long-term goals, too much emphasis on physicaleducation target and motor skill to master, and ignored to cultivate students life-longsports and national traditional culture;in the choice of courses, the student’s choice isnarrow, the courses are mainly composed of martial arts, content is monotonous, singleproject and lack of attraction, attention to theory level is not high, the lack of traditionalethnic sports theoretical knowledge introduction and explanation;on the teachingmethods, or in the teacher’s explanation demonstration is given priority to, ignorestudents’ initiative of the play, the old teaching methods;the inspection way, payattention to students’ technical mastery and improvement of physical quality, neglectingstudents’ theoretical knowledge and learning attitude assessment and evaluation;the lackof national traditional sports professional teachers and professional major is wushuaspects of special teachers, special traditional sports teacher training mechanism has notbeen established.;no standard unified national traditional sports teaching, a seriousshortage of traditional ethnic sports equipment field, restrict popularization anddevelopment of traditional ethnic sports elective course;extracurricular sports activitiesto carry out the national tradition sports project, less participation, lack of goodtraditional sports campus cultural atmosphere;students have big interest in nationaltraditional sports, but the understanding degree is not well.Universities should make full use of resource, humane environment and the historical conditions in the region will be more have the region characteristic of nationaltraditional sports teaching content into the teaching plan, enrich the teaching content; Tofurther strengthen national traditional sports teachers, attaches great importance to thecultivation of talents; To carry out various forms of national traditional sports, buildappropriate national traditional sports development of campus culture atmosphere, richstudents cognitive ability of traditional sports.
