It is on the behalf of happy sports, lifelong sports and health first that the qualityeducation realizes its purpose. Aerobics is a kind of sports which incorporates the strongpoints of gymnastics, dance, music, fitness and entertainment. But up to now aerobics,developing unsatisfactorily as a part of physical training education of higher vocationalcolleges and universities, still exists a few problems.This paper targets on the aerobics course teaching in8higher vocational collegesof Zhuzhou City, using literature data method, questionnaire survey method, interviewmethod, logical analysis and so on. The author made an investigation for its presentteaching situation and concluded the following points of view:1. The teaching goal of aerobics course in Zhuzhou City vocational colleges isclear, while its curriculum is set as an elective course for public physical training,aswell as quality education and auxiliary teaching form. Students are not so satisfied withthe amount of the teaching hours and its lack of unity. The proportion of male andfemale students in higher vocational colleges is unbalanced, specially boys covers little.The amount of teachers of Aerobics is relatively small, most of which is guided by thosewho majored in the martial arts, athletics and ball games. Teachers lack regular furthereducation opportunities for updating their knowledge, which is very adverse to thedevelopment of aerobics education in Zhuzhou City. As to the Aerobics teachingcontent, teachers pay insufficient attention to its theoretical division, at the mean time,its physical practice is not very rich, which comes down to the teachers’ lesscultivating. Teachers cannot keep pace with the times. Furthermore, its auxiliaryteaching content is out of date, practices full of interest and body-building exercisescontents are not involved. Teaching methods gain a lot of satisfaction. Only3collegeshave the facilities among8vocational colleges, by the way, the atmosphere of studyingaerobics is not good enough.2. The factors influencing Zhuzhou public PE courses in higher vocational collegeslie on these two aspects. The first is students’ understanding of aerobics and interest,teacher’s professional teaching level, the teaching contents and teaching environment.3. For the purpose of improving the quality of public PE courses in highervocational colleges of Zhuzhou, the author suggest that we pay attention to both theproper aerobics curriculum and cultivation of students’ quality and ability. We shouldbuild a students-centered teaching mode of multi-level, flexible, multi-mode in order toarouse the students’ enthusiasm for aerobics. To strengthen the construction of aerobicsteachers team and improve the teachers professional quality, we should provide variouskinds of further education in the form of lectures, seminars, reports, etc. The PEmanaging section should find a sort of stimulating system to raise the teachers’ interestand creativity. Still more, we need a kind of fair examining system of the teachers. The PE Management should place more stress on aerobics selective class and have necessaryinvestment on the training fields and equipment to satisfy the need of the students.Furthermore, aerobics performances and matches between the colleges should beencouraged. The teaching methods should be concentrated on more, such as heuristicmethod;leading-in method; mutually-helping method and creatively method. Variouskinds of appraisal and evaluation ways can lead to the specialized characteristics ofaerobics course teaching. Comprehensive evaluation to the students’ performanceshould be made from the following characteristics: the creativity of the actions, artisticeffects, facial expressions, the link-up of the actions and so on. |
