The researcher realized students’ study situation, their subjective attitudestowards the teachers’ working as well as the teachers’ attitude towards them via thesustained observation in the class; even, some talks and the assistance of students’homework were done. The Chapter Four mainly talks about the extra-class communication. It chieflynarrates their campus and life events. Through the narration of these chains of events,we find that the teacher-student activities on campus are quite few; the school life ismonotonous; the discipline violations are always frequent; teachers punish thediscipline-violation students variously are often seen in school.
