Nowadays public physical education class has became an Indispensable course for university students. It plays an important role in improving students’health, stimulating their interests in sports and building up their awareness of a lifelong sports and so on. College sports is an integral part of the modern university quality education. Physical education density is not only an effective way to test whether the arrangement of physical education time is reasonable, but also an important factor to the evaluation of physical education effectiveness. The effective use means to apply most of the time to teach and the support activities, and reduce the waste of time. Using class time effectively and arranging the class rigorously have an advantage in arranging different kinds of activity reasonably. The students may have higher enthusiasm and concentrate their minds to think and practice actively if more time is applied to practical practice and the practice density is kept appropriately, and then their organization and discipline will be cultivated. We can find the success and the failure of the teaching and improve the teaching quality through the study of the physical education density.In Changchun city, there has Northeast Normal University, Jilin University, Jilin University of Finance and Economics, Jilin Agricultural University, Changchun University of Science and Technology, Changchun Normal University, Changchun University, Changchun University of Technology and other universities. We select Northeast Normal University, Jilin University, Jilin Agricultural University, Changchun University of Science and Technology, Changchun University in all these universities, and choose the Sophomore’s public physical class as the study object in this article. Through the literature data and the mathematical statistics and the Expert interviews, we analysis the physical education density and summary the calculation method of the overall density and the practice density in the physical class., and provide a reference for measuring the effectiveness of teaching, developing a reasonable teaching plan and arranging the density of physical class.This article starts from the current situation of the college’s public physical class density in Changchun city, analyzes the widespread problems in it. The result shows:(1) the overall density of the college’s public physical class in Changchun city is not reasonably distributed. The time to organization and explain accounts a larger part and the time to practice is less.(2) a lower density of practice and a higher density of organization in the ball course.(3) in the aerobics classes, the practice density is larger and the time spent in changing of the team is less.(4) a higher density of practice and a lower density of organization in the martial arts classes. The whole density distribute of the college’s public physical class in Changchun city is not reasonable. The teacher cannot grasp the organization density and the practice density in class. Teacher s should arrange the teaching content according to the nature, content, categories of the class reasonably, improve teaching skills, improve and enhance the level of organization, prepare and design the class carefully, to make the distribute of the college’s public physical class density in Changchun city reasonably as much as possible.
