Ancient poetry as the ancient Chinese written language, is an important carrier of Chinese ancientculture. with a long history and culture, it has become quintessence of the Chinese culture. The high literaryvalue and aesthetic value, make it become the most dazzling pearl in Chinese traditional culture. Theancient poetry teaching occupies an important position in the present Chinese teaching in middle schooland it is one of the main parts of the senior high school entrance examination papers. With the constantadvance in the new curriculum reform further research of ancient poetry, a new scene appears in poetryclassroom teaching, but many problems still exist, for example:many teachers still adopt the traditionalteaching methods in the classroom teaching, students’ subject status has not given, a certain distancebetween the teaching contents, teaching methods the senior high school entrance examinationand"compulsory education curriculum standard". As a Chinese teacher, I feel deeply on these problems, somake some simple explorer.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction, text and epilogue. The introduction mainlyincludes the importance of teaching classical Chinese, the new "compulsory education curriculumstandard" requirements for the teaching of ancient poetry and the interpretation of these requirements. Thetext is divided into three chapters. The first chapter mainly writes the current situation of middle school inteaching classical Chinese and analyzes the reasons for this situation. The second chapter analyzes theHenan province2003-2012Chinese senior high school entrance examination of the test of the ancientpoetry, on the test sites analyze and summarize development and characteristics of Henan senior highschool entrance examination of Chinese ancient poetry in recent ten years. The third chapter combined withthe existing problems in the teaching of ancient poetry and the examination direction ancient in senior highschool entrance examination, puts forward some effective strategies of ancient poetry teaching in HenanProvince under the background of the senior high school entrance examination.This paper studies links the actual situation of middle school ancient poetry daily classroomteaching in Henan province and the Chinese senior high school entrance examination and "compulsorystandard" of Chinese curriculum, specifically elaborated gains and losses of the ancient poetry classroomteaching on the current junior middle school ancient poetry classroom teaching put forward concrete suggestions. I hope these suggestions to promote the ancient poetry teaching efficiency and give some helpto senior high school entrance examination.
