Gymnastics is our traditional sports. In competitive sports, China’s gymnastics athletes in the majorsports events, like Olympic Games, Asian Championships, World Championship, for our country to win thegold and silver medals. Compared to the brilliant artistic gymnastics, the development of school gymnasticsand mass gymnastics is not satisfactory, which gymnastics education plays a particularly important role incollege education. Gymnastics training as an important way of training gymnastics professional personshould take the responsibility.The key lies in the quality of college teachers to develop the person whocommunication, carry forward the gymnastics and win the mass basis, and take this glorious task. So,quality of the sports department gymnastics teachers have a direct impact on the quality of the students,thus building a teacher team, which is moral, consummate and has reasonable structure, is the main task ofcollege physical education.In order to further understand the PE department gymnastics teachers presentsituation of Henan province, this paper based on some objective specific indicators got by fieldinvestigation, hoping to analyze the PE department gymnastics teachers present situation comprehensively.This paper mainly uses the method of literature, questionnaire and mathematical statistics. The PEdepartment gymnastics teachers in Henan province, and sports department gymnastics teachers and part ofthe gymnastics class students of22universities in Henan province is the research object. Issuing49teacherquestionnaires and440student questionnaires by field distribution and electronic mail way. Based onanalysis of the data collected, we can get the following conclusions:1. The PE department gymnastics teachers team of Henan province is an middle-aged teachers leadingteam, which is reasonable in the age structure, the overall learning structure, and degree title structure. Butsmall number of gymnastics teachers and unreasonable gender ratio has become the important factors thatlimit the development of the team.2.The overall teaching situation, innovation ability and electronic teaching ability is lacking in Henanhigher schools have become the important factor in the development of sports colleges gymnastics teachingstaff.3. The teacher treat scientific positively. But as the first author published paper, the book publishments, the national and provincial project host is not ideal. so the quantity of teachers who formtheir own stable research characteristics are few.4.In-service education, short-term special training, language and graduate course is the focus of theteacher education content, all the teachers are willing to study and training. But leaders don’t pay attention,the big teaching task and lack of funds has restricted the PE department gymnastics teachers to learn.This paper also puts forward the development countermeasures to improve the Henan provinceuniversity sports department gymnastics teaching team situation: introduction of gymnastics talents, reducethe gymnastics teaching workload, strengthen the perfection of gymnastics teaching facilities, payingattention to the construction of gymnastics teaching and research section, strengthening teachers’ scientificresearch level, between each college more communicate and study, improve the quality of teaching andcomplete gymnastics teaching and research system, strengthen the gym teacher training, and constantlyimprove the quality of the gym teacher, strengthen the leader value, increase financial supports. |
