The vocational education develops rapidly since the founding of China. In recentyears countries are increasingly concerned about the new rural construction and the "ThreeRural Issues", the rural vocational education gradually caused widespread concern andattention of the academic community. Seventeenth Party Congress formulated importantguidelines on the transformation of China’s national economic development mode, ourcountry’s economy and society enter the new era, industrialized enter new stage, industrialstructure restructured and the urbanization speed up. Vocational education in rural areas as thecombination of the Ministry of Education and the economy, is the most direct and closerelations with the economic and social development, can effectively improve the employmentrate and promote the transfer of surplus labor and human support. It is most closely related tothe entire social and economic development directly. It is necessary to strengthen the study ofrural vocational education to develop vocational education in rural areas vigorously. Butcompared to other forms of education, the research papers and focus of vocational education inrural areas less. Rural vocational education in different historical periods developments andchanges differently. Studying the development of rural vocational education and thedevelopment of vocational education in rural areas will be important for the current economicsituation.In this paper, by analyzing the development of rural vocational education in ourcountry since the founding, analyze and summarize the relationship between the developmentof rural vocational education and socio-economic development. Summarizing its characteristicsaccording to the different historical stages of the development strategy of the rural vocational educationand school system in order to redefine the connotation of rural vocational education combined withsocial and economic development of the new period and to provide the countermeasures andsuggestions on the development of the rural vocational education. Paper main points four parts,first is to review the development process of rural vocational education in our country sincethe founding, summing up experience and enlightenment, then analysis China’s currenteconomic development mode shift phase of the development of rural vocational education goal,combined with the social and economic development in the new period the new characteristicsof demand for talents, put forward countermeasures and Suggestions of the rural vocationaleducation development.
