Nowadays Cooperative learning is one of mainstream patterns in international education reforming, it’s also a new learning style which is greatly advocated by the National Basic Education Curriculum and education reform. UNESCO and many International Education Investigations think that "learning exchanges" and "learning cooperation" are significant characteristics of education in the new century. At such a large background, scholars at home and abroad do lots of researches on Cooperative learning, so there are many achievements.After the idea and method of Cooperative learning got acknowledgement, many teachers have used it in teaching practice. Though the widely using of Cooperative learning brings new vitality to classroom, a large numbers of teachers do this job inefficiently so that Cooperative learning has not coruscated brightly. Scholars have not yet found a perfect strategy on the topic about how and when the teachers give assistance during Cooperative learning. So, we need to examine teacher assistance from the dimension of Social constructivism, and we may find a good solution in this way.This article is divided into four parts:The first one is introduction. It includes research background and meaning:the basic outline of predecessors’studies, the role Social constructivism plays in Cooperative learning, and research ideas and methods of this article.The second one describes five enlightenments which are form Social constructivism:the considering of Social and cultural background, putting Cooperative learning into the situation full of challenges, paying much attention to interactions and language during learning process.In the third part, the author will study the situation in which teachers give aid to students by using observational method. Based on the results of the analysis and statistics, we find some flaws when teachers guide students to do Cooperative learning, so, the strategy is how to avoid these flaws.In the fourth one, the author put forward specific strategies in order to help teachers supporting their students better in Cooperative learning. This part consists four sections:the aid in early period of Cooperative learning, the cognitive aid of Cooperative learning, skills aid of Cooperative learning, emotion aid of Cooperative learning. All of these strategies stand a chance to help teachers become more efficient when they guide student in Cooperative learning.
