In this paper, the classical works in two editions Chinese textbook of people’seducation press are as the research objects. They are the2003edition and the2007edition textbooks. This article adopt the method is content analysis method andcomparison method. I mainly discussed and analysis the selection in these twoeditions Chinese textbook about classical works. Mainly from the classical quantitySelected structure, era, the contents of the selected articles, as well as grammarimportant difficulties to carry a comparative analysis of two editions of textbooks. bycomparing the two editions we can found that each of that have own selectedcharacteristics. Such as the03edition textbooks selected many texts, emphasis onimportance to grasp the classical foundation, and basic layout classical order inliterary history. The07editions respect individual learning differences, and carriedout in accordance with the cognitive rules. Textbook Selected still encounter manyproblems, such as the election papers bridging problems and how combined with theera now. These problems obstruct the classical teaching, and therefore need to activelyimprove these problems.The selection and design of teaching materials is a systematic project. it includesall aspects of the problem, so a comprehensive analysis is very difficult. I have somethe Edition and Selection recommendations for some of the problems encountered inthe two editions textbook. Pay attention to the number in the text selection standards,nether too much nor too little. From the students receive to strengthen the interestcultivation. Strengthen convergence with junior high school textbooks and the era ofthe selected articles. We have to moderately reduce the degree of difficulty in classicalworks. From the scheduling order to we need pay attention to the arrangement ofsystemic, comprehensiveness and arrangement the order from easy to difficult.
