Abstract/Summary:
Village public space is an important place for local people to carry out the publicactivities. Before liberation, various temples, ancestral halls are the main public space intraditional village, these public spaces represent the authority of traditional and custom.They are seen as effective resources that can help the traditional rural elites to managethe operations of the local society. After the liberation, folk beliefs was regarded asfeudal superstition and have been varying degrees of impact in a long time, temple as acarrier of folk beliefs is restored.After the reform and opening-up policy, the country hasweakened the political control to the countryside, who had been suppressed, is regardedas a "feudal superstition", folk beliefs began to resurge, and temple of the repair around isone of the important symbol to folk beliefs’ revival. Temple rebuilt makes the folk beliefsactivities back to the people’s public life, the traditional public space once again becomesa village modern transition period platform of spiritual consolation for rural people.Based on the traditional public space—"Shang Ge" in Yaotou village do point forcase study. As a traditional public space, Shang Ge has been an important carrier of folkbeliefs for hometown people. Beyond that, after the reform and opening-up policy, underthe people’s independent choice,"Fanshi" settled in Shang Ge, that Shang Ge became thesacred and secular public space.Now, Shang Ge for the construction and integration ofthe village order and for the operation of the village power plays an important role.However, with the accelerating pace of village modernization, village society isundergoing transformation from an Acquaintance Society to a Semi-acquaintance Society.Diverse demand of people also gradually began to sprout about the new public space andthe diversified village public life, as a result, a new public space—"square" was built andeffectively used in Yaotou village. This is not only a supplement to the traditional publicspace cannot meet the demand of people’s public life at the present times, but also anconsciously reaction that people voluntary take in national policy guidance, under thebackground of new rural construction.This paper mainly use of folklore, sociology, anthropology and other methods,combining with the field survey data and local literature, reviewing on the vicissitudes and modern function of Shang Ge. The author utilizes transition and modern implicationof Shang Ge to reflect the change of people in public life and constraction of multivariatepublic space in the new rural construction period.This paper consists of introduction, text and epilogue.Introduction describes the starting point, the target, the emphasis of the researches,the research situation both inside and outside. In the body, it divides into four chapters.The first chapter is an overview of Shang Ge. The author introuduces physic-geographical environment and history humanities status of Yaotou village in the first part.In the second part, it is introduction about Shang Ge.The second chapter is the change process of folk beliefs in the Shang Ge. In thischapter, the author introduces the change of Shang Ge and folk beliefs in the process ofsocial development.The third chapter is the inspection about the folk life in the world of Shang Ge afterthe reform and opening-up policy. Reflecting the change of people in public life throughview the folk life in new period.The fourth chapter is the implication about the traditional public space in theModern Situation. This chapter divides into two parts. The first part explores Integrationto village social order in the village modernization transition from the Shang Ge as thesacred and daily public space. The second part discusses political significance aboutShang Ge, that is the interaction between Shang Ge and village power operation.In the conclusion, discussing the relationship between Semi-acquaintance Societyphenomenon of village and the diversity of village space construction, and introspectingthe new rural construction of the country’s perspective.
