The Effects Of Similar Faces Between The Sexes On Mate Choice And Marital Satisfaction

Mate selection and marital satisfaction are important psychological phenomenon.Research on these two areas has been widespread concern of scholars at home andabroad, and has made many important achievements. Faces similar between the sexes,foreign scholars have been carried out in the90s of the last century, and the start ofthe domestic research on the similarity between the sexes face much later thanWestern scholars. Previous studies mainly domestic similar faces in trust, kinrecognition. This article aims to explore gender looks similar impact on whether theindividual’s mate choice and marital satisfaction. The study included two parts. Thefirst part: Using computer graphic techniques, opposite sex self-facial-resemblanceand other facial resemblance were created, then let subjects attractive to these twofaces of evaluation to observing whether mating preferences of self-similar faces. Thesecond part by screening different partner more similar to the use of a questionnairestudy faces and faces similar partner marital satisfaction.
