Miroblog has already become unalienable to Chinese netizens, college studentsin particular since the year2009it first entered into China. With its improvement anddiversification on function and increasing influence, microblog is turning to be apopular resort for college students to involve themselves in public participation. Dueto the shortcomings of microblog and limited competency of students, there areproblems that couldn’t be neglected. Students in college represent the future ofChinese nation, and whether they can reasonably participate in public issues isrelated to the realization of socialist democracy and establishment of harmonioussociety. As a result, it is especially crucial to analyze and summarize students’microblog in public participation as to formulating guide policy from the perspectiveof ideological and political education.The text consists of four parts. The first part will analyze what the definition oncollege students’ public participation through microblog is from the fields ofmicroblog and public participation respectively. Part two will proceed to discuss thecauses under the backgrounds of reality factors, attraction of microblog and needs ofstudents. In the third part, according to the questionnaire, current situation of collegestudents’ microblog on public issues will be in further discussion including basicsituation,main features and troubles covering lack of public spirit, exceedingentertainment, shortage of self-discipline and lower voice power. The final part willaim at proposing instructions within the arena of ideological and political education.And hopefully students in college would take part in public participation throughmicroblog organized, by measures of strengthening civic awareness, promotingmedia literacy, channeling emotions and perceptions, cultivating thoughtful leaders,unblocking participation tunnel and improving internet environment. |
