| Tae Kwon Do movement stems from the Korean peninsula, at first mainly as a military kill and fighting. After Korean independence, the development of Tae Kwon Do is more rapidly, gradually evolved from the use of military force to self-defense, becoming one of the world’s emerging fighting technologies.From July2003, Taiyuan began to the promotion of Tae Kwon Do. The influence of geographical and economic, there is still a gap between Taiyuan and other developed cities in Tae Kwon Do. No matter it is the size of the Tae Kwon Do venue, the number of practice, or coaches and referees team all has corresponding problems.The present study investigated Tae Kwon Do coaches and practicers in Taiyuan by interviewing method, the questionnaire survey, the mathematical method of average, the contrast analytic method, the visit discussion law and on-the-spot investigation law. Research the status of the development of Tae Kwon Do in Taiyuan; identify the problems in the development, and to make appropriate recommendations to address these issues. Through research concluded:1. Tae Kwon Do is still in the initial stage of development in Taiyuan, but the scale of operation is expanding constantly, group member is increasing, and the level of exercise training has been improved.2. Tae Kwon Do club in Taiyuan is based on personal private operating, less capital invested, the size of the venues are mostly small or medium size, the lack of large-scale, strong strength of the scale of operation to boost the development of Tae Kwon Do in Taiyuan.3. Venues and training facilities and ancillary services are inadequate in Taiyuan.4. Tae Kwon Do in Taiyuan has a chaotic market.5. Taekwondo practitioners are. mainly pupils and students, but can persist for long time training with fewer low-ages, more than amateur, the lack of a professional is more prevalent.6. Tae Kwon Do practitioners of Adult are less, mainly due to work and life stress, lack of practice time; also due to the slow process of social promotion, could not become a mass movement.7. In Taiyuan, Tae Kwon Do coaches’ age, years of coaching, education, experience and research capabilities of the highest sports movement is generally low.8. Tae Kwon Do Referees in Taiyuan have poor cutting ability, not enough to learn the referees business theory, the referee team management is not system, the referee’s assessment, monitoring mechanism is not perfect, the assessment Tae Kwon Do referee is not institutionalized lack of monitoring mechanisms, the lack of high-level, highly educated, high-Judgment experienced referee.9. Tae Kwon Do competition mechanism is not perfect in Taiyuan, the game less frequently, the lack of high-level competitive opportunities.In view of the above discovery’s questions, proposed the corresponding suggestions:1. strengthening the power of administration department.2.
