College students are the successors of the socialist modernization. Training collegestudents’ sound personality is one of the main tasks of the ideological and political education.The current College students’ personality presents a good development trend, but there arealso many problems. The world today is undergoing great changes and adjustments. Theworld multi-polarization has formed. The development of economic globalization is goingdeep. The world culture has the trend of diversification, so that the traditional culture andpersonality have been unprecedented impacted. Based on the basic theory of ideological andpolitical education, the thesis attempts to draw on the essence of the Pre-Qin Confucian idealpersonality and analyze it thoroughly. The way of shaping college students’ healthypersonality is explored.Originated from Confucius, Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality ideology developed inthe Mencius and flourished in the Xunzi. Paying attention to cultivate the ideal personality isthe consistent essence of Pre-Qin Confucian. Internal Saints and External Kings” is themode of the Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality. Benevolence, righteousness, propriety,wisdom and fidelity are the connotation. Sage, gentlemen and scholar are the goals. living anddevelopment, learning and thinking, Self-example Education and accumulate merits arerealization approach. The Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality thought had a profound impacton the later generations, after experienced the transformation from traditional to modern, thePre-Qin Confucian Personality Ideal still has the great value for shaping Students’ SoundPersonality.This thesis is divided into six chapters. Taking the Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personalitythought and the shaping of college students’ sound personality as the main line, the thesisdiscusses the question of the value of Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality thought on collegestudents’ healthy personality.The first chapter is the introduction. Based on the main theme of this thesis, the firstchapter introduces the basis, the purpose and significance of the research. Through theelaboration of relevant research status at home and abroad, This part puts forward theinnovative point of this paper.The second chapter is the summary of shaping Students’ Sound Personality. First, make asystem study on the theory of personality and sound personality, and then investigate thedevelopment trend of the college students’ personality and the existing problems. At last theauthor points out that the cause of college students personality has four aspects: family,school, society, individual. The third chapter is the origin and the mode of the Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality.In order to understand the idea of the pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality, the study focusedon the pre-Qin Confucian political background, economic background and culturalbackground, expounded the basis of the theory of human nature about the Pre-QinConfucian ideal personality thought,and explored the pattern of the pre-Qin Confucian idealpersonality about " Internal Saints and External Kings ".The fourth chapter is the connotation of the Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality thought.With Benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and fidelity as the main line, the Pre-QinConfucian ideal personality thought can be concluded as the theory of “Benevolence MeansLoving Others”,“Considering Justice as the most important”,“keep order by ritual”,“those who understand will no be confused”,“Integrity Succeeds”. Benevolence Theorymeans “consider others in one’s own place with benevolence”,“deny self and return topropriety of benevolence thought”; righteousness theory means “the justice system to benefitthe value orientation”, propriety theory means govern them by regulation wisdom theorymeans know what one really understands; fidelity theory means keep a promise inviolate,fidelity theory is that if people have no faith, there is no standing for that person.The fifth chapter is the goal and the realization approach of the Pre-Qin Confucian idealpersonality. By elaborating of the Pre-Qin Confucian sage, gentleman, bachelor and idealpersonality, It can be concluded that living and development, learning and thinking,Self-example Education, accumulate merits are the way to realize the Pre-Qin Confucian idealpersonality. Specifically, learning and thinking requires gentleman rich in knowledge andtenacious of purpose. Self-example Education requires gentleman self-examination. livingand development requires gentleman to cultivate the self. Accumulate merits requiresgentleman working with perseverance and holding world with virtue.The sixth chapter is the analysis of the value of the Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personalitythought of Shaping College Students’ Sound Personality. Taking the Pre-Qin Confucian idealpersonality thought and the shaping of college students’ sound personality act the main line,using modern philosophy, achieves the transformation of pre-Qin Confucian ideal personalityideology from tradition to modern. The Pre-Qin Confucian ideal personality thought can helpstudents establish lofty life ideal, help cultivate college students’ noble moral character, helpcollege students form a harmonious group relations, help college students form good learningatmosphere. College students’ healthy personality shaping is a continuous process, the idealthat college students individual is the starting point of healthy personality shaping is putforward. The family is the important site while college is the key point. The society is the basic point. The college students, parents, colleges and government should assume theirrespective responsibilities, and work together to promote students’ sound personality.
