Research On The Relation Between Filial Piety And Prosocial Behaviors Among College Students

In this study, college students were selected as research subjects.The Questionnaire of Filial Piety and The Prosocial Tendencies Measurement Scale were used to explore the traits of filial piety and prosocial behaviors of college students.This paper also explored the relevant between filial piety and prosocial behaviors.It would provide the theoretical basis for family, school and social education.The research results show as follows:(1)The Questionnaire of Filial Piety includes three elements:the cognition of filial piety, the emotion of filial piety and the behavior of filial piety.lt has high reliability and validity.(2)The filial piety of college students is above the average, besides the level of the cognition of filial piety is the highest among the three elements.(3)There are notable differences in different gender,major,family,only and non-only,functionary and non-functionary of the filial piety,while the differences in different grades are not notable.College Students with different genders in all three elements exist notable distinct,while different majors,different family,only and non-only,functionary and non-functionary of the behavior of filial piety exist notable distinct.(4)The level of emergent prosocial behaviors is the highest within the types of college students’ prosocial behaviors, and the level of public prosocial behaviors is the lowest.(5)There is notable difference in different family, only and non-only of the prosocial behaviors among college students, while the differences in different genders, grades, majors, functionary and non-functionary are not notable. The public prosocial behaviors among college students in different genders, only and non-only exist notable distinct. The compliant prosocial behaviors in different genders, grades, functionary and non-functionary exist notable distinct. The emotional prosocial behaviors in different genders, only and non-only exist notable distinct.The altruistic prosocial behaviors in different grades exist notable distinct.The emergent prosocial behaviors in different family exist notable distinct.(6)There is an obvious positive correlation between filial piety and prosocial behaviors. Besides, filial piety plays an important role in the prediction of the college students’ prosocial behaviors.
