Research On The Status And Construction Of Contemporary College Dormitory Culture

Contemporary college students were born and raised in the background of worldintegration, economic globalization and cultural diversification, with a strong brand ofthe times. How to do well in the ideological and Political education of contemporarycollege students which are the special group has become a new topic of collegeideological and political education in China.The paper conducts a questionnaire survey and personal interview among900teachers and students, applies the data to analyze the major problems existing in theconstruction of college student dormitory culture and puts forward their coping strategies.The paper is divided into five parts.In the first part, we illustrate an introduction of the research background andsignificance; an exploration into the current situations of the college student dormitoryculture; an introduction of the research methods and an outline of the research.Part two, a theoretical study as the basis of the paper. Starting with definingconcepts of culture, campus culture and college student dormitory culture, the authorclarifies the relationship between campus culture and college student dormitory culture,analyzes characteristics and functions of the college student dormitory culture.In the third part, an empirical study as the core part of this paper. With a college asthe case, the study is conducted to point out the achievements and major problemsexisting in the construction of college student dormitory culture under a questionnairesurvey, personal interviews and field investigations. We also analyze the causes of themajor problems of the college student dormitory culture.Part four, a research of college student dormitory culture countermeasures. We putforward the principles and countermeasures from the aspects of ideology, materialconditions, management system, spiritual culture and behavior culture，according to theanalysis of the current existence of college dormitory culture construction problems. Wehope to build a positive, noble, harmony college student dormitory culture.Part five, a conclusion. College dormitory culture construction is a long-term,complex systematic project, requires active participation of school leadership attachesgreat importance to education, management personnel’s devotion and students, andpersevere, unremittingly, in order to construct this project, to create a good environmentof education.
