Children’s growth level reflect not only their physical conditions at that time, and affect the healthy development of the later. As the change of social, economic and natural conditions, their growth and development characteristics and development trend also produces change, therefore, research on children’s development and changes of body shape, body shape development and analysis the influence of the relationship between function and quality, is the need of promoting their healthy development, is of great significance.This study based on2000,2005and2010in jiangsu province city7to12years old children’s physique monitoring results of height, weight and chest circumference of the index data and BMI were statistically analyzed, developed in2000-201010years7to12years old city in jiangsu province of children’s body shape development characteristics and trends change, and analyze the body shape index and body function and physical quality in all aspects of development of the relationship and influence. Research results show that:1、Children and teenagers’ body form development of every index has the characteristics of growing and BMI in the normal range.2、all ages of urban Children s’ BMI and body shape indices are there is a moderate positive correlation relationship between vital capacity index, among them, the chest size index and vital capacity index of correlation among the highest.3、Urban children’s body shape indexes and all ages between BMI and pulse index is generally not statistically significant correlation; And has a low correlation between systolic pressure and diastolic blood pressure index, there is no statistically significant correlation between individual indicators.4、all ages Children s’ body shape positive correlation between the indexes and its grip strength grades; Height index and standing long jump results between moderate correlation.5、City children’s height and bust indexes and50m running performance have positive correlation, and bust indexes and50meters scores higher related degree; Bust indicators and8*50meters has a moderate positive correlation between grades. 6、Sit-and-reach proneness with general showed no correlation between body shape indices.
