"English teachers teach English", is not in the discussion of the teaching task but the existing social phenomenon of teaching non-English, which means teachers did not take English as a language to teach. As a result, it deviates from the education objective of middle school English Curriculum, and makes English teaching lose its subject characteristics.Language is an expression of life. Different parts of people live in different way, so the life expression is. The English nation formed their peculiar national language and cultural traditions in the long-term social life and cultural heritage. English tells the English national aspects of life. English teaching is to teach students how to use English language. As a course, English differs from language itself, but this does not change the essence of its properties. From this, English teacher should use every "content" to change the students’consciousness, promote the formation of students’English language sense.Of course, these implementations are inseparable from the professional quality of teachers’, which refers to teachers’professional awareness of quality. Middle school English teacher’s professional consciousness should include teachers’language awareness, English awareness and teaching awareness. Teachers of English language awareness refers not only to English teachers’ perception of language itself, but also refers to the teacher always take English as a foreign language to understand and grasp. Middle school English teachers should not teach English as a course only, the English product which means the voice, the vocabulary, the grammar and the syntax or the test product which includes problem-solving skills and test method, but as a language. The English consciousness includes the English teachers’language proficiency, an accurate understanding of English and the difference from Chinese. English is the English expression of the national life. Although we have the same life world, the English nation also has a different cultural tradition. Teachers should have a thorough grasp of the two, so as to build students" language sense. Teachers’consciousness guide "teaching" behavior and it is the fundamental solution to the problem of the teaching which leads the all-round and life-long development of students’and the true completion of the teaching task.The study cited a number of teaching cases. It analyzed the middle school English teachers’ teaching and their professional consciousness. Finally, the study presented three teaching cases, which can reflect the teacher’s professional consciousness of middle school English teachers. This article tries to provide a new perspective for middle school teachers to understand and contribute to the professional development of teachers’.
