Reading class is a basic style in the Chinese class of the senior schoolsand plays a main role in it. Although reading class is a main part of seniorChinese class, isolated classes benefits the students little only by givingstudents too many kinds of reading materials. Individualization reading isoffered against the background of advocating education for all-arounddevelopment. In the meantime, it is one requirement of curriculum innovation.Actually, individualization reading is a kind of reading which involves thestudents’ individualities. By setting the reading materials against thebackground of personal emotion experiences and known knowledge and makeconversations with the texts, the students involve their individualities into thetexts. Individualization reading respects the students’ individualities, showsthe way to feeling, understanding, comments and admiring the texts withexploratory and creativity. Individualization puts emphasis on the activitiesmainly carried out by the students themselves. Individualization reading is akind of activity including two parts, the individualization reading carried outby the students and the teaching activities carried out by the teachers with thegoal of achieving the individualization reading. This text studies theindividualization reading and makes a conclusion on the basis of others’efforts by way of researching and analyzing the present problems appearing in the reading process of students and teachers. It is concluded that teachersshould hold oneself part fixed position and guide the students to readeffectively. Besides, it come up with several teaching strategies, such as showthe way to the thinking of the students, make full use of the evaluation ofteaching to inspire the students’ individualization reading, expand the readingby combining the In-class reading with the after–class reading, and guidethe students to make conversations with the texts. I hope it will promote theteaching of individualization reading of the senior schools.
