Bruner who is a famous psychologist and educator of American had said:learning the best state is thinking, and thinking of the core elements of a way of thinking. Critical thinking is the face of what to believe or what to do to make a reasonable decision rational thinking, in recent years, it is the core of educational reform in many countries,《high school biology curriculum standards (experimental)》 in the course objectives clear critical thinking as one of the goals of scientific thinking culture. Critical thinking is the premise of cultivating innovative thinking, but in secondary education activities in China, there is no universally recognized the importance of critical thinking education, teachers neglect the cultivation of students’ critical thinking.This paper is to explore from the point of view of biology teaching in high school biology teaching methods to develop students’ critical thinking, the thesis is divided into four parts:Part Ⅰ:analysis in accordance with the chronological order of the domestic and international educational research on critical thinking, inductive integration tentative definition of the concept of critical thinking. Contact demonstrated the feasibility to develop students’ critical thinking in high school biology teaching critical thinking training and biological science literacy relationship, from the point of view of educational psychology.Part Ⅱ:survey methods to understand the status of high school students at this stage Critical Thinking, analysis of a variety of factors affecting the formation of students’ critical thinking, and then start from the status quo analysis expounded the need to develop critical thinking.Part Ⅲ:Interview survey of high school biology teacher training in teaching critical thinking attitude survey results show that teachers believe that the cultivation of critical thinking is necessary, but specific training approach is not very clear.Part Ⅳ:The focus of this article, explore the culture of critical thinking strategies in the teaching of biology. In response to the conclusions of the survey methodology, from the perspective of educational psychology and Disciplinary Pedagogy, specific methods of training critical thinking and critical thinking teaching principles:First, from the perspective of educational psychology, and then explored in the classroom develop critical thinking and exercise teaching strategies, and finally summarized the indicators of the evaluation of students’ critical thinking.Research on these issues and find Critical Thinking and biology teaching association to develop students’ critical thinking, according to the characteristics of the biological sciences, is also intended to promote critical thinking in teaching and research in the biological disciplines.
